Paid Test – MIDI Transcription & Cleanup (Long-Term Collaboration) I am looking for a musician with a good ear and strong MIDI editing skills to help clean up and correct MIDI transcriptions. My goal is to find one reliable long-term collaborator for future projects. Paid Test: Four candidates will be selected for a paid evaluation. You will receive: - An 8-second audio clip - A rough MIDI transcription generated from the audio - Simple instructions Your task is to edit the MIDI so that it matches the original recording as accurately as possible. The test includes four instruments: - Bass - Strings - Flute - Drums Please correct: - Wrong notes - Missing notes - Timing - Note lengths - Other transcription errors The final MIDI should be clean, accurate, and well organized. Payment This is a paid evaluation. - Four freelancers will be selected. - Each selected freelancer who completes the assignment with a genuine, good-faith effort according to the instructions will receive $12. - The best submission will receive an additional $12 bonus (for a total of $24) and will be invited to collaborate on future paid projects. - Submissions that are incomplete, unrelated to the assignment, or clearly demonstrate no reasonable attempt to complete the requested work may not qualify for payment. Evaluation To ensure a fair comparison, every submission will be evaluated exactly as first delivered. No revision requests will be made during the paid evaluation. Future projects may include normal feedback and reasonable revision requests where necessary. Future Work I expect approximately 5–10 projects per year. Typical projects involve: - Songs around 3 minutes long - Multiple MIDI tracks - Typical budgets of $120–300, depending on complexity I am looking for someone interested in a long-term working relationship.
