MSP Project Manager / Delivery Consultant for 8-Week Engagement

I am a Project Manager with a software-development background who has recently moved into an MSP and IT professional-services environment. I am looking for an experienced MSP Project Manager, Delivery Manager, Professional Services Manager, or Technical PM to support me through a structured eight-week advisory and mentoring engagement. - What I need help with - * Reviewing redacted SOWs and project briefs * Identifying scope, deliverables, assumptions, risks, dependencies, and prerequisites * Turning technical scope into practical milestones and delivery plans * Preparing for internal and client kickoff calls * Determining the appropriate level of technical detail for each project * Managing unclear scope, resource issues, delays, client expectations, and escalations * Understanding fixed-price, bank-of-hours, staff-augmentation, and change-request engagements * Reviewing project plans, kickoff materials, status updates, and stakeholder communications * Challenging my thinking and explaining how an experienced MSP PM would proceed By the end of the eight weeks, I want to analyze projects faster, ask stronger questions, identify risks earlier, and confidently manage a larger and more complex project portfolio. - How we will work - We will have at least two working sessions per week, with additional sessions or ad hoc reviews depending on project needs and our availability. I will prepare the materials and questions in advance so that our sessions remain focused and practical. - Ideal background - * Strong MSP or IT professional-services project experience * Experience with SOW-based engagements * Familiarity with infrastructure, networking, cloud, Microsoft, security, or managed-services projects * Good understanding of scope control, budgets, resource planning, billing, and client expectations * Comfortable providing direct and practical advice * Strong spoken and written English * ConnectWise or similar PSA experience is a plus - Rate and future opportunity - The hourly rate will depend on your experience, capabilities, availability, and the level of support you can provide. I do not have a fixed rate in mind, so we will discuss expectations during the interview and agree on a fair rate together. This will initially be a relatively low-hours engagement, but it may expand into additional paid project planning, documentation, project reviews, or PM support if the collaboration works well.
