# Excel VBA Macro for Warehouse Staging & Zebra Label Automation ## Project Overview I am looking for an experienced Excel VBA developer to build a macro that automates our nightly warehouse staging process. The macro will run from an existing Excel spreadsheet containing our daily Greencross orders and should automatically generate staging reports and Zebra printer labels. Accuracy and reliability are critical, as this tool will be used every night by our warehouse team. --- ## Part 1 – Staging Sheet Generate a new worksheet that groups all Greencross orders by **drivers name**. ### Requirements * Group orders by driver. * Sort the drivers based on departure time, with the earliest departures appearing at the top. * Layout should be similar to the attached example. * The report should be easy for warehouse staff to use while staging freight. --- ## Part 2 – Zebra Label Generation Automatically generate Zebra printer labels for every pallet. Each label must contain: * Vehicle registration (large text) * Temperature type (smaller text) in the top right corner.  * Frozen  * Chiller * Dry / Wine * Consignment number(2) * Customer name (1) * Quantity (3)  * Pallet number (e.g. Pallet 1 of 2) ### Multiple Pallets If a consignment contains multiple pallets: * Generate one label for each pallet. * Example: * Pallet 1 of 2 * Pallet 2 of 2 Each pallet must receive its own unique label. --- ## Customer Exceptions For specific customers, display the delivery address instead of the consigment number.  * The Plant Bakery - The Health emporium (not the reference or consigment number)  --- ## Exclusions Do **not** generate labels for freight that: * Is picked up from any depot other than Chill Brookvale. * Contains "VIC" anywhere in the reference. * Contains "QLD" anywhere in the reference. These consignments are staged elsewhere and should be excluded completely. --- ## PROMO Orders Any order with **PROMO** in the Customer Name field must: * Be excluded from the normal temperature labels. * Generate its own dedicated PROMO label. * Remain separate regardless of whether it is Frozen, Chiller, or Dry. --- ## Part 3 – Returning Pallets Report Create a separate worksheet listing all pallets expected to return to the Brookvale depot. The report should include: * Vehicle registration * Number of returning pallets * Temperature type * Consignment number (if applicable) This report will help warehouse staff forecast incoming return pallets. --- ## Deliverables The completed solution should include: * Clean, well-documented VBA code. * Easy installation instructions. * Ability to modify customer exceptions in the future. * Ability to adjust label layouts if required. * Compatibility with Microsoft Excel (Microsoft 365 preferred). --- ## Nice to Have Please mention in your proposal if you have experience with: * Zebra printers * ZPL (Zebra Programming Language) * Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) * Logistics or transport operations * Excel VBA automation Examples of similar projects are highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating macros for various platforms and tools, ensuring the final product meets all requirements.
