Magazine Layout & Graphic Designer – 5 Publications Per Year (InDesign Expert)

Job Description: We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented Graphic & Magazine Layout Designer to manage the layout, ad creation, and final print/digital prep for three publication titles published throughout the year. About Us: Fund Phase LLC operates multiple dedicated publications serving specialized communities, including: Narc Magazine (www.narcmagazine.info) Deputy Sheriffs Magazine (www.deputysheriffsmagazine.com) Warrior’s Grace (www.warriorsgrace.org) Workload & Schedule: This is a recurring project with 5 issue releases per year across our publication titles. Key Responsibilities: Magazine Layout: Assemble complete magazine issues using existing Adobe InDesign templates, master pages, and brand guidelines. Ad Design & Placement: Design custom display ads for new sponsors/advertisers based on provided text, logos, and raw assets. Place both existing and newly designed ads into the layout according to the ad-to-content grid. Asset Assembly: Organize and format provided articles, editorial content, high-res photography, and branding assets into clean, professional spreads. Prepress & Print Prep: Prepare error-free, print-ready PDF files (CMYK, bleed, crop marks, proper DPI) for commercial printing, as well as optimized digital PDFs for online distribution. Qualifications & Skills Required: Software: Mastery of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Experience: Proven portfolio demonstrating previous work in multi-page publication/magazine layout and ad design. Efficiency: Ability to work cleanly with existing files/templates without needing to rebuild issues from scratch. Attention to Detail: Excellent eye for typography, margins, image resolution, color profiles, and pre-flight quality checks. Communication: Prompt, professional communication and ability to hit publication deadlines reliably.
