Mainframe Code Conversion Consultant (Part-Time)

We are looking for a Mainframe-to-.NET modernization consultant with hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, AWS Transform, IBM watsonx Code Assistant for Z (BOB), or similar solutions. The ideal candidate should have experience converting Mainframe applications (COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, VSAM, batch processing) to .NET and understand both Mainframe and .NET technologies. Our primary focus is on code conversion and refactoring while maintaining functional equivalence, business logic, screen flow, and a similar user experience to the existing Mainframe application. Experience with broader modernization or re-imagination approaches is a plus. The consultant should be able to use AI tools to analyze Mainframe code, generate and validate .NET code, improve maintainability through refactoring, and help the team understand and support the converted application. ## Engagement * Part-time consulting * Remote * Flexible hours * Initial engagement with possibility of extension ## To Apply Please share: 1.
