Mainframe Consultant (strong Hands on COBOL, JCL & DB2, CICS) – 50-60 Hrs/Month long term project

We are seeking an experienced Independent Mainframe Consultant to support a critical Mainframe Modernization initiative. You will work closely with our delivery unit to analyze legacy workloads, map dependencies, and support application remediation and testing. Key Responsibilities: Perform technical assessments and code reviews of mainframe portfolios. Analyze and support COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS components. Execute dependency mapping, batch job analysis, and code refactoring/remediation. Create and maintain technical documentation and support unit/integration testing. Required Qualifications: 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience in Mainframe technologies. Core Skill Set: COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, SQL, and CICS. Proven capability in technical analysis, portfolio assessment, or migration support. Strong communication skills for knowledge transfer (KT) sessions.
