Manual QA Tester / Product Tester for Garage Management SaaS
Worldwide
I’m looking for a reliable manual QA / product tester to help test GarageRevs, a web-based garage management SaaS for independent UK garages. GarageRevs is an early-stage SaaS built by a solo founder. You’ll be working directly with me, not through layers of managers. The product is already used by real garages, so the goal is simple: find bugs, broken flows, confusing moments, and edge cases before customers hit them. This is an entry-level-friendly role, but I need someone sharp, persistent, and detail-obsessed. Your job is to try to break the product before real garages do. What you’ll do: - Manually test web app workflows end to end - Find bugs, broken states, confusing flows, bad validation, and edge cases - Test like a real busy garage front desk: interrupted, fast-moving, messy data - Write clear bug reports with steps to reproduce, expected result, actual result, screenshots/video, browser/device, and severity - Retest fixes when needed - Build simple regression checklists over time The product includes workflows like: - Customers and vehicles - Workshop jobs - Scheduling - Invoices and payments - Customer approvals - Vehicle health checks - Online bookings - Stock and purchasing - Reminders and communications Important qualities: - Excellent written English - Very high attention to detail - Comfortable recording short screen videos - Able to work independently without needing every test case written for you - Curious and persistent - Honest about what you did and didn’t test - Willing to learn a niche business domain This is not mainly an automation role. I’m looking for exploratory manual testing first. If you have automation experience, that’s a bonus, but not required. How we’ll start: We’ll begin with a small paid trial task. I’ll give you access to a specific area of the product, and you’ll test it for a short block of time. I’ll be looking at the quality of your thinking, the clarity of your bug reports, and how well you spot issues a real user would care about. To apply, please answer the screening questions. Budget: This is a modest-budget role, but it can become steady long-term work for the right person. I care more about ownership, clarity, and persistence than years of experience.
