Description: We are an established German perfume brand (D2C, Shopify-based) preparing to launch in the US market. Logistics, fulfillment, and store setup are already in place. We're looking for an experienced market researcher/analyst to deliver actionable insights that will shape our US go-to-market and advertising strategy. Scope of work: Competitor analysis – Identify our main competitors in the US fragrance space (especially D2C brands and the fragrance dupe/"inspired-by" segment). Analyze their positioning, pricing, product range, and growth. Advertising deep-dive – Analyze the best-performing ads of key competitors (Meta Ad Library, TikTok Creative Center, etc.): creative formats, hooks, messaging angles, influencer/UGC usage. What's working right now in US fragrance marketing? Pricing analysis – What price points are viable per perfume in the US? How do dupe brands vs. designer-inspired vs. niche brands price? Recommended pricing strategy for a European brand entering the market. Dupe/clone fragrance market – Size, key players, consumer perception, and trends of the US fragrance dupe market specifically. US vs. European market differences – Which scent profiles and fragrance families are popular in the US vs. Europe? Consumer behavior, buying channels, seasonality, cultural differences relevant to marketing. Recommendations – Concrete, prioritized recommendations for our US launch: positioning, ad strategy, pricing, and quick wins. Deliverable: A structured report (slides or document) + a final call to walk us through findings and recommendations. What we provide: Access to research/analytics tools (e.g., ad intelligence and market data tools), full context on our brand and current European performance. Requirements: Proven experience in market research or competitive analysis, ideally in beauty, fragrance, or D2C e-commerce Strong familiarity with Meta Ad Library, TikTok Creative Center, and e-commerce analytics tools Ability to turn data into clear, actionable recommendations (not just data dumps) Fluent English; understanding of the US consumer market Timeline: 2–3 weeks, starting immediately.
