Marketing & Content Manager (Full-Time, Remote) Full-Time Position | 9:00am – 5:00pm UK Time | Monday to Friday About Us Landfill Alternatives Ltd is a UK supplier of waste and recycling machinery. We help businesses reduce waste costs and improve recycling rates through a wide range of balers, compactors, shredders and recycling equipment. We are looking for a full-time Marketing & Content Manager to take ownership of our marketing activities and become a key member of our team. This is a long-term position, not a project-based freelance role. Working Hours * Monday to Friday * 9:00am – 5:00pm UK time * 30-minute unpaid lunch break * Full-time position * Remote working Applicants We welcome applications from South Africa, the Philippines, Eastern Europe and India. Over the years we have built successful working relationships with people from all of these regions: * South Africa – We already have a South African member of our team based in the UK and have had very positive experiences working together. * India – We have worked extensively with Indian professionals on CRM development and software projects and have developed strong working relationships. * Eastern Europe – We have found many professionals from the region to have excellent technical, design and creative skills, making them well suited to the type of work involved in this role. * Philippines – We recognise the strong reputation the Philippines has for remote marketing, design and content creation roles and welcome applications from talented individuals looking for a long-term position. While applicants from these regions are particularly encouraged to apply, we are open to applications from any location. English Language Requirement Excellent written English is absolutely essential for this role. A large part of the position involves writing customer-facing content including: * Website content * Product brochures * Product catalogues * Customer case studies * LinkedIn posts * Email campaigns Applicants must be able to write naturally and professionally in English without relying on translation software or AI translation tools. We are looking for someone who can communicate with the same standard of English expected from a UK-based marketing professional. Applications containing poorly written English, obvious translation errors or AI-translated content won’t be considered. The Role You will be responsible for managing and delivering the company’s marketing activities on a day-to-day basis. We will provide photographs, videos, product information, technical specifications and customer information. Your role will be to transform these materials into professional marketing content that supports sales and strengthens our brand. You will work closely with our management team and external website developer. Current Projects We are currently investing heavily in our marketing and digital presence. A new company website is being developed and the successful candidate will play an important role in helping shape its content, structure and ongoing development alongside our website developer. In addition to supporting our main business, the successful candidate will also be involved in developing the marketing materials, branding and digital presence for a second business within our group. This is an exciting opportunity to help build and influence the marketing strategy of two growing businesses from an early stage. Responsibilities * Manage and grow our LinkedIn presence * Create LinkedIn posts and content campaigns * Edit and publish YouTube videos * Create customer case studies * Write website content, product pages and blog articles * Design brochures, product catalogues and technical datasheets * Create graphics for social media and website use * Produce email marketing campaigns * Assist with the development and ongoing content creation for a new company website * Support the marketing, branding and content requirements of a second business within our group * Maintain consistent branding across all channels * Work alongside our website developer to help shape website content, structure and user experience * Plan and manage monthly content schedules * Monitor and report on marketing performance Essential Skills * Excellent written and spoken English * Strong copywriting ability * Experience managing LinkedIn business pages * Graphic design experience * Adobe InDesign * Adobe Photoshop * Canva * Video editing experience * Content marketing experience * Strong organisational skills * Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects Desirable Skills * Experience marketing engineering, manufacturing or industrial products * YouTube channel management and optimisation * SEO content writing * Email marketing * Experience creating technical brochures and product catalogues * CRM experience * Ability to understand technical specifications and drawings * Basic CAD knowledge What We Are Looking For This role is best suited to someone who enjoys creating content and can turn technical information into professional marketing materials. Examples of the type of content you will regularly create include: * LinkedIn posts * Product brochures * Product catalogues * Technical datasheets * Customer case studies * Website content * YouTube content * Sales literature We are looking for someone who can take ownership of projects and work with minimal supervision. How many hours per week are you currently committed to other clients or employers? Paid Assessment Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a short paid assessment using real product information. The assessment will involve: * Creating a LinkedIn post * Producing a simple one-page product datasheet * Outlining a short YouTube video concept Salary Expectations Please include your expected monthly salary as part of your application. When selecting a candidate, we will consider salary expectations alongside experience, skills, portfolio quality, communication ability and overall suitability for the role. We are looking for the best long-term fit for our business, and selection will not be based solely on salary. Additional Information This is a full-time position. During working hours we expect the successful candidate to be dedicated exclusively to our business and not simultaneously employed in another full-time role. The successful candidate will be provided with company systems including Microsoft 365, Teams and project management software. Activity and time tracking software may be used during the initial onboarding and probation period. We are looking for someone who wants to become a long-term part of our business and take ownership of our marketing function.
