Marketing & PR Coordinator (Outreach, Content, Research & Link Building)

We're looking for someone who loves figuring out how to get brands noticed. This is a long-term position working with multiple local businesses across the U.S. You'll help us come up with creative PR ideas, build relationships, research competitors, earn mentions and backlinks, and help manage a variety of marketing projects. A lot of this is for locally based businesses in the home services sector, with a few other national type businesses. This isn't a cookie-cutter SEO role. Every week is different. What You'll Do Research PR opportunities and story ideas Reach out to journalists, bloggers, podcasts, organizations, and local businesses Build relationships that lead to mentions, links, and partnerships Help plan and execute digital PR campaigns Research competitors and identify opportunities they are missing Find sponsorship, event, scholarship, and community partnership opportunities Assist with backlink outreach and relationship building Help organize outreach campaigns and track progress Coordinate content projects with writers and designers Help create visual assets or graphics (using Canva or AI tools) Use AI to brainstorm campaign ideas and improve workflows Keep projects organized and moving forward Skills We're Looking For Excellent written English Strong research skills Comfortable reaching out to people via email and social media Organized and detail-oriented Creative thinker who enjoys generating marketing ideas Familiar with SEO and backlinks (or willing to learn) Comfortable using AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude Experience with Canva or basic design is a plus Experience with Ahrefs, SEMrush, BuzzStream, Pitchbox, or similar tools is a bonus Tools We Use ChatGPT Cursor Canva Ahrefs Google Workspace Zapier Various AI tools What Success Looks Like We're looking for someone who doesn't just complete tasks—we want someone who constantly asks: "How can we get this brand mentioned?" "Who should we partner with?" "What's a unique story we could tell?" "How can we create something worth sharing?" "What are competitors doing that we aren't?" If you enjoy researching, creating ideas, building relationships, and helping brands grow their online authority, you'll fit in well.
