Marketing copywriter for inner development events

Summary

We are looking for a part-time thoughtful copywriter to help us write compelling, authentic marketing event copy for our community workshops. You'll work directly with workshop facilitators to craft event page copy that connects with our audience (people who are highly attuned to tone, and quick to notice anything that feels salesy, generic, or AI-generated.) This is a part-time, ongoing role. Writing assignments are infrequent to start, with the potential to grow as we do (roughly 1–2 per month, and each assignment will take a few hours.) Events are drawn from a variety of inner work spaces, including: -Somatic & embodiment -Soul-centered, eco-depth & nature-based initiations -Depth, Jungian & developmental psychology -Metamodern sensemaking & integral practices -Relational, we-space and collective / intergenerational work -Contemplative & meditation traditions What you'll do: Interview workshop facilitators to gather the details needed for each assignment (topic, length, tone, logistics, facilitator bio) Write registration copy for Luma event pages that is clear, engaging, and aligned with our voice (The best copy sounds like it was written by a person who genuinely cares about the work) Run 1–2 feedback cycles with the facilitator and revise accordingly Proofread all copy using a spelling/grammar tool and verify it reads as human-written Deliver a final draft for facilitator sign-off within a few days of the brief Maintain and apply our voice and tone guidelines What we're looking for: Strong writing instincts (concise, correct, and engaging) A natural ability to match a brand's voice and adapt tone for different contexts Experience writing event, workshop, or community-facing copy (or something comparable) Skilled at drawing out what you need from a conversation. Able to ask the right questions to surface the details, tone, and emotional core of a facilitator's work Familiarity with inner work and personal development. You're comfortable with this language, and you have a feel for the appropriate tone A reader-first orientation. You think about who's on the other end, whether the copy will genuinely resonate, and whether it's inviting the right people Comfort collaborating asynchronously via Google Docs with inline comments Self-directed and organized enough to manage a light but ongoing workload Flexible availability to turn around drafts within a few business days About Us: Aurora is a community for inner development.
