Masonry Estimator – 2D Take-Offs & SketchUp 3D Models

We are a Melbourne-based masonry contractor looking for a freelance estimator to assist with ongoing brickwork and blockwork take-offs on a project-by-project basis. For standard projects, we need clear colour-coded 2D take-offs from architectural and structural PDF drawings using PlanSwift, CostX, Bluebeam or similar software. For selected high-end or complex projects, we also require a visual 3D masonry model using SketchUp or similar, with multiple views that can be included with our tender submission. Typical work includes face brickwork, rendered brickwork, brick veneer, double-skin brickwork, blockwork, curved walls, piers, arches, sills, hit-and-miss brickwork, openings, reinforcement, corefill and specialty masonry. Required deliverables: Marked-up plans and elevations Quantities separated by masonry type Openings and deductions clearly shown Excel BOQ matching the take-off Assumptions, exclusions and drawing discrepancies listed 3D SketchUp presentation model for selected projects You must be confident reading architectural and structural drawings together. Experience with Australian construction drawings is preferred. We will provide our own labour rates, material rates, productivity allowances and final pricing. Your role will focus on accurate quantities, clear categorisation and professional presentation.
