Summary

I am developing a universal ceiling fan remote control and need an experienced CAD designer to create the 3D-printable enclosure for our Rev 1 prototype. The internal electronics are currently being finalized by my PCB engineer. I am looking to hire a mechanical designer who can take the final 3D STEP file of the populated circuit board and build a clean, ergonomic, two-part plastic housing around it. Project Scope & Requirements: Enclosure Style: A simple two-part clamshell design (snap-fit or screw-together) optimized for SLA resin 3D printing. Dimensions: Roughly 120mm tall × 52mm wide × 15mm thick. Component Clearances: The design must cleanly integrate with the PCB and provide external alignment for: 7 tactile switches (buttons) 9 status LEDs 1 bottom-centered USB-C port A dedicated ventilation opening for an internal temperature/humidity sensor Battery Tray: The rear half of the enclosure must include a shallow internal pocket to hold a 3.7V 1000mAh LiPo pouch battery (approx. 50mm x 34mm x 5mm). Prototyping Focus: This is for a Rev 1 prototype run. Optimization for injection molding (draft angles, parting line analysis, mold flow) is not required for this phase. What I Will Provide: A fully dimensioned 3D STEP file of the populated PCB with all component locations permanently locked. A front-facing visual concept render showing the exact aesthetic, button layout, and LED placement required. Required Deliverables: The native CAD workspace files (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or Onshape preferred). Print-ready STL and STEP files of the top and bottom enclosure halves. To Apply: Please include 1 or 2 examples of previous enclosures you have designed around custom PCBs, and confirm that you are comfortable working directly from an exported PCB STEP file.
