Summary

Seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer or SolidWorks Product Designer to develop a foldable, multi-panel vehicle-mounted plastic product into a production-ready design for injection molding. Deliverables include: Editable SolidWorks source files (SLDPRT/SLDASM) STEP files Fully dimensioned 2D manufacturing drawings Basic Design for Manufacturing (DFM) recommendations The ideal candidate has proven experience designing injection-molded plastic components, including living hinges, snap-fit features, and assemblies intended for high-volume production. Manufacturability, durability, and cost-effective production are the highest priorities. Experience with consumer products or vehicle-mounted accessories is a plus.
