Mechanical Design Engineer with Strong 2D and 3D CAD Skills – Consumer Product Development

Seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with strong SolidWorks skills to develop a consumer product from concept through prototype-ready CAD. The selected engineer will be responsible for: Creating high-quality 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings from specifications and sketches. Designing components for injection molding and efficient manufacturing. Applying appropriate tolerances, GD&T, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles. Supporting prototype iterations based on testing and feedback. Maintaining organized CAD files and documentation. Required Qualifications Strong proficiency in SolidWorks or Similar CAD. Experience designing consumer products or mechanical assemblies. Experience with injection-molded plastic parts. Knowledge of tolerance stack-up and assembly design. Ability to produce manufacturing-ready drawings. Excellent communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with sliding mechanisms, hinges, latches, or adjustable assemblies. Experience taking products from concept to production. Prototype development experience. Confidentiality This project requires execution of a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). The successful candidate will work only on a specific subassembly of a larger product. All intellectual property developed during the project will be assigned exclusively to job poster.
