Mechanical Engineer Needed for CAD Modification of Telescoping Aluminum Pole (.STP File)

Project Overview: Green Elephant is an established premium outdoor brand. We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer or Product Designer based in China to modify and optimize an existing 3D CAD model (.STP file) for our heavy-duty aluminum telescoping tarp poles. The core geometry is already 90% complete. Your job will be to implement specific physical upgrades based on field feedback to eliminate common industry defects, ensuring the product is 100% optimized for manufacturing (DFM). Key Deliverables & Responsibilities: 1. Nest Clearance & Tolerances: Review and adjust the inner/outer tube clearance for a 4-section pole (Target OD: 32mm / 28mm / 25mm / 22mm) with a uniform 1.0mm wall thickness. Ensure smooth telescoping action with standard anodization tolerances. 2. Double-Locking Wedge Integration: Ensure the internal locking mechanism profile is perfectly modeled for a heavy-duty, continuous 360° contact split-cone/wedge design using POM plastic. 3. Bottom Cap Security: Modify the bottom 32mm rubber foot attachment to include internal ribs/press-fit mechanical locks so the foot cannot detach in thick mud. 4. Water Drainage System: Integrate a small, hidden internal drainage channel/hole at the bottom rubber cap to allow rain condensation to drain out via gravity. 5. Silicon Tip Cover Modification: Optimize our patented black silicon tip cover attachment. The connecting strap between the anchoring ring and the top ball cap needs to be slightly widened and thickened for high-tensile anti-tear performance. Requirements: * Must be proficient in SolidWorks, Creo, or Fusion360 (final output must be a clean, error-free .STP and .IGS file). * Location: China only (deep understanding of Chinese manufacturing standards, aluminum extrusion, and plastic injection tolerances is highly preferred). * Strong communication skills in English. * Willingness to sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) before receiving the reference file.
