Media Research & Journalist Outreach Specialist

I'm looking for a freelancer to help research niche B2B media outlets—primarily in financial services, fintech, and adjacent sectors—and build/manage targeted journalist outreach on a recurring basis. What you'll do - Research relevant trade publications, newsletters, and niche outlets covering our space (financial services, fintech, capital markets, wealth/asset management, B2B tech) - Identify the right journalists, editors, and contributors at each outlet, including beat and recent coverage - Build and maintain a clean, organized media list (contact info, beat, notes, recent articles) - Draft, send and/or refine outreach pitches and follow-ups - Track outreach status and manage responses You're a fit if you have - Prior PR, media relations, or journalist outreach experience—ideally in B2B or financial services - Familiarity with niche/trade media beyond the mainstream business press (e.g., understanding the difference between broad outlets and specialist newsletters) - Strong research skills and attention to detail - Clear, concise writing - Comfort with tools like media databases, spreadsheets, or CRMs Bonus: existing relationships with fintech/financial services reporters To apply, please share: -A brief note on relevant experience (financial services / B2B media a plus) - An example of a media list or outreach campaign you've built
