Media Task Specialist Task-Based Media, File, and Production Support This role is for someone who is fast, practical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working through a steady queue of production tasks. The work is not limited to video editing. It includes a mix of media, multimedia, file, formatting, graphics, text, and cleanup tasks that need to be completed accurately and efficiently. Some tasks may involve video. Others may involve captions, audio, files, documents, exports, thumbnails, light graphics, formatting changes, compression, naming, organizing, or fixing small issues before delivery. This is a task-ready, generalist support role. You should be comfortable jumping into different kinds of requests, understanding the instructions, choosing the right tool, completing the work, checking it, and moving it forward. Most assignments are focused and well-defined. The goal is not to overthink or reinvent the work. The goal is to fix what needs fixing, format what needs formatting, prepare what needs preparing, and deliver clean assets that are ready for the next step. What You’ll Do You’ll complete a steady mix of media, file, and production support tasks, including: Video and audio adjustments Trim clips, cut sections, export selects, replace audio, adjust levels, remove dead space, clean up simple issues, and prepare media for delivery. File changes and conversions Convert files, compress assets, rename deliverables, organize folders, extract audio, resize files, prepare uploads, and make sure files meet the requested format or spec. Captions, subtitles, and transcripts Create, clean up, sync, format, translate, or quality-check captions, subtitles, transcripts, and related text files. Light graphics and visual fixes Resize graphics, crop images, update simple layouts, cover outdated logos, blur sensitive information, remove backgrounds, swap images, and make small visual corrections. Text and formatting work Make simple copy edits, clean up text, fix typos, adjust formatting, prepare descriptions, update titles, format documents, and make content easier to use or deliver. Media preparation and handoff Package assets, label files correctly, follow naming conventions, check instructions, confirm deliverables, and keep projects organized for the next person. Quality control and finishing Review work for obvious issues before sending it forward: wrong file type, bad crop, missing caption, typo, unsynced subtitle, poor audio level, incorrect export, wrong filename, or incomplete instructions. How You’ll Work This role is about being useful, accurate, and efficient across many small production needs. You may use tools for: Video trimming, clipping, exporting, and formatting Audio cleanup, track replacement, and level adjustments Captioning, transcription, translation, and subtitle cleanup File conversion, compression, resizing, and delivery prep Light image editing, layout fixes, and background removal Document formatting, text cleanup, and basic writing support Folder organization, naming, upload prep, and asset handoff AI-assisted editing, cleanup, formatting, transcription, and repetitive production tasks We care less about one specific software background and more about whether you can understand the request, choose a practical tool, complete the task correctly, and check your work before handing it off. You’ll Fit Right In If You You move quickly without being careless. You are comfortable fixing small problems across different types of media. You can follow instructions, specs, naming conventions, export settings, and formatting requirements. You are not thrown off by variety. One task may be a video trim, the next may be a caption cleanup, the next may be compressing files, resizing a graphic, fixing a typo, or preparing a folder for delivery. You know when to use AI tools, editing tools, file tools, or basic production utilities to get work done faster. You notice details like incorrect filenames, bad formatting, typos, missing captions, rough cuts, wrong dimensions, messy folders, low audio, or exports that do not match the request. You communicate clearly when something is missing, unclear, broken, or likely to slow down delivery. You are comfortable with repetitive production work and take pride in getting tasks completed cleanly.
