Medical Billing Specialist Needed for a Medical Practice

We are looking for an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our team for an initial short-term trial project. This position will begin on a test basis, and if the work is completed successfully and the candidate is a good fit, it may develop into a long-term opportunity. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of medical billing experience and strong knowledge of Athenahealth software. Responsibilities include: Verifying patient eligibility and benefits Collecting patient responsibility Managing claim denials Following up on unpaid claims Running and managing accounts receivable Reviewing claim status and resolving billing issues Communicating with insurance companies and patients as needed Requirements: Minimum 3 years of medical billing experience Experience using Athenahealth Strong knowledge of insurance verification, denial management, and AR follow-up Excellent attention to detail Good communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines This is initially a short-term trial project. If the candidate performs well and meets our expectations, the role may continue as a long-term position.
