# Healthcare Architect Required – Concept Design for a Multi-Specialty Hospital / Nursing Home ## Project Overview We are looking for an experienced Healthcare Architect with proven expertise in designing hospitals, nursing homes, or healthcare facilities. The project site is located in **Hooghly, West Bengal**, on a plot of approximately **17,000 sq. ft.** with direct frontage on **NH-2**. The selected architect will prepare the complete architectural concept and planning package, which will subsequently be reviewed, adapted, and approved by our licensed local architect for statutory approvals. Only architects with prior healthcare planning experience should apply. --- ## Project Objectives The proposed facility should be planned as a modern multi-specialty hospital with provision for phased development and future expansion up to approximately **100 beds**. The design should maximize the permissible FAR/FSI (subject to applicable regulations) while ensuring efficient patient flow, staff movement, infection control, operational efficiency, and future flexibility. --- ## Scope of Work ### Phase 1 – Site Planning & Hospital Functional Planning Prepare the overall site layout and hospital functional planning, including: * Site master planning and circulation for patients, emergency services, visitors, staff and service vehicles. * Ambulance access, emergency entrance, parking, fire access, utilities and future expansion planning. * Functional planning of all major departments, including Reception, Registration, Billing, OPD, Consultation Rooms, Emergency & Casualty, Pharmacy, Diagnostics, Laboratory, Pathology, Radiology, X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT/MRI provision, ECG, TMT, PFT, Audiometry, ICU, HDU, Operation Theatre Complex, Recovery, CSSD, General & Private Wards, Isolation Rooms, Medical Gas Services, Administration, Medical Records, Cafeteria, Staff Facilities, Housekeeping, Laundry, Engineering Services, Biomedical Waste Management **and all other facilities required for a modern multi-specialty hospital.** Deliverables should include a Site Master Plan, Functional Planning Report, Department Relationship/Bubble Diagrams, Room Schedule, Area Statement and preliminary Bed Distribution. --- ### Phase 2 – Concept Architectural Design Develop the complete architectural concept, including the site plan, floor plans, elevations, sections, vertical circulation, structural planning concept and future expansion strategy. Provide up to three concept options before finalization. --- ### Phase 3 – Architectural Coordination Prepare coordinated architectural layouts with room layouts, furniture planning, schedules and concept-level coordination for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, medical gas services and other building services required for a healthcare facility. --- ### Phase 4 – 3D Presentation Prepare presentation-quality 3D views of the exterior, main entrance, reception, OPD, patient room, ICU, operation theatre, waiting areas and other key hospital spaces. --- ### Phase 5 – Final Submission Provide the complete design package, including editable architectural drawings, PDF drawing set, room schedules, area statements, rendered images and all necessary documents suitable for further detailing and statutory approval by our local architect. --- ## Experience Required Applicants must have demonstrated experience in hospital or healthcare facility planning and should possess a sound understanding of: * National Building Code (NBC) of India. * Clinical Establishments Act/Rules and applicable State Health Department requirements. * Hospital planning and functional design principles. * Fire & Life Safety regulations. * Universal Accessibility standards. * Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) principles. * Biomedical Waste Management requirements. * Efficient patient, staff, clean/dirty and service circulation.
