Mental Health Billing Audit & Revenue Cycle Review Potential Ongoing Engagement Available Growing outpatient psychiatric practice seeking an experienced behavioral health billing specialist to conduct a comprehensive review of our current billing and insurance verification processes. We currently have billing support in place; however, would like an independent assessment of our workflows, claim management, insurance verification procedures, and overall revenue cycle performance. GOAL: Review claims, insurance verifications, denials, rejections, and accounts receivable activity from approximately the past 90 days to identify revenue leakage, workflow inefficiencies, billing concerns, and opportunities for improvement. Project Scope • Review current insurance verification workflows • Review claim submission and follow-up processes • Review denied and rejected claims • Evaluate accounts receivable management • Identify potential revenue loss or missed opportunities • Assess overall billing efficiency and workflow effectiveness • Provide recommendations for improvement • Participate in a strategy call to discuss findings and answer questions Ideal Experience • Behavioral health or psychiatry billing experience • Insurance verification expertise • Experience with commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid plans • Revenue cycle management experience • Claim denial and appeals experience • Ability to identify workflow inefficiencies and revenue risks Deliverables • Written audit summary • List of identified concerns or opportunities • Recommendations for workflow improvements • One strategy call to review findings Potential Ongoing Opportunity For the right candidate, there may be an opportunity to transition into an ongoing part-time role supporting insurance verification, claims management, and administrative workflows following completion of the audit.
