Title: Mental Health Billing Virtual Assistant: SimplePractice Cleanup, Denials, & A/R Description: Must be experienced at using SimplePractice (aka Simple Practice) EHR!! I am looking for a highly organized behavioral health billing virtual assistant to help clean up a small mix of historical and active insurance claims in SimplePractice. Project Scope: Data Reconciliation: Audit 16 old claims stuck in "Accepted" limbo. Locate EOBs via Availity/Optum, match them against bank history, and manually post payments or execute write-offs for aged data. Denial Management: Call insurance payers to investigate denied claims, fix coding/modifier errors, and file formal appeals. Active Claims Tracking: Monitor a handful of recently resubmitted claims currently marked as "Received" to ensure they transition to paid status.Clearinghouse Fixes: Resolve at least one claim currently flagged with a "Scrub" error by correcting the underlying data typo and re-routing it. Requirements: Direct experience with SimplePractice, Availity, and mental health provider portals. Excellent phone communication skills for insurance follow-up. Must sign a HIPAA-compliant Business Associate Agreement (BAA).Budget: Hourly ($15–$25/hr), capped at a maximum of 10 hours for this initial project, but if it really needs more than 10hrs. would be open to discussion. Potential for ongoing monthly work if this cleanup goes well.
