Microsoft Copilot Studio Agent Developer

Project Overview We are a Microsoft-focused managed service provider (MSP) based in Australia building AI-powered agent solutions for our clients. We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Copilot Studio developer to join us on an ongoing basis to build, configure, and deploy Copilot Studio agents. The immediate engagement is building an Executive Assistant (EA) agent in Copilot Studio for one of our clients. The agent needs to handle scheduling, meeting management, email triage, task tracking, and general administrative queries — all integrated tightly with Microsoft 365. This could lead to ongoing work building agents for other clients across a range of industries. What You Will Be Building (First Engagement) An EA-style AI agent in Microsoft Copilot Studio that: Handles meeting scheduling and calendar management via Microsoft Graph/Outlook Triages and summarises incoming emails Creates and manages tasks in Microsoft To Do / Planner Answers common internal queries (policies, contacts, procedures) using SharePoint knowledge sources Escalates complex requests to the relevant human via Teams notification Is deployed within the client's Microsoft 365 tenant (Teams channel or Teams app) Integrates with Power Automate for workflow triggers and actions Requirements — Essential Demonstrated, provable experience building agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio — not just Power Virtual Agents legacy builds Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 ecosystem: Graph API, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Power Automate Experience connecting Copilot Studio agents to custom connectors and Power Automate flows Ability to configure knowledge sources (SharePoint, uploaded documents, websites) in Copilot Studio Understanding of authentication and security in M365 tenant-based deployments Available during Australian Eastern / Central business hours (AEST/ACST) — at minimum 9am–5pm AEST overlap Clear, professional communication in English Able to provide a portfolio of completed Copilot Studio projects with details of what was built Requirements — Highly Desirable Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 connector integration Familiarity with Entra ID / Azure AD for agent identity and permissions Experience deploying agents for SMB or professional services clients (legal, finance, advisory) Microsoft certifications: PL-200, PL-400, MS-900, AI-102 or equivalent Experience with Adaptive Cards for rich Teams interactions What We Are NOT Looking For Developers with only basic chatbot or FAQ bot experience Anyone who cannot provide screenshots or demos of live completed Copilot Studio agents Developers based in time zones with no Australian business hours overlap Engagement Details Type: Contract / Hourly — with potential for ongoing retainer across multiple client builds First project estimate: 15–30 hours depending on scope Availability: Responsive during AEST business hours (UTC+10) for collaboration and client demos Communication: Weekly check-ins via Microsoft Teams, async updates expected daily when active
