Project Brief: Full Technical Migration, Advanced Routing & Automation 1. Project Overview We are BROOD Magazine, a digital and print media brand for working parents. We are executing a complete infrastructure overhaul to move away from a legacy WordPress/WooCommerce setup into a streamlined, high-performance modern tech stack. Our new platform accounts are provisioned, and our core historical databases have been completely cleaned, deduplicated, and formatted. We are seeking an expert systems integrator to handle the technical configuration, domain routing, background automation architecture, and SEO preservation to ensure a flawless, zero-downtime cutover. Our Tech Stack: Editorial Hub / CMS: Ghost.org (Pro Tier) Member Portal & Premium Digital Products: Kajabi Payment Gateway / Merchant Processor: Stripe Automation Middleware: Zapier or Make.com 2. Core Scope of Work & Deliverables Task 1: Advanced Domain Mapping & Routing (DNS Configuration) We want to utilize our domain portfolio to create a premium, intuitive brand architecture. Premium Member Academy (Kajabi Custom Domain): broodmembers.com mapped directly as the root login portal for courses, mastermind groups, and community perks. Events/Live Infrastructure: broodlive.com pointed to a dedicated high-converting landing page pipeline (built within Ghost or Kajabi, to be determined during staging). Task 2: Stripe Checkout Setup with Forced Postcode Validation Because we publish a physical print magazine alongside our digital content, capturing shipping data is critical. Configure custom product payment links inside our existing Stripe dashboard for our core tiers (e.g., Print + Digital Annual Subscription). The checkout flow must be explicitly configured to force and validate Full Shipping Addresses (specifically enforcing UK postcodes) before a customer can complete their purchase. Task 3: Multi-Platform Automation Logic (Zapier / Make) Because Ghost and Kajabi will run on separate dedicated domains, you will build a reliable, automated backend loop to synchronize our members: Trigger: Successful premium subscription purchase via a Stripe Payment Link. Action A (Ghost.org): Instantly create or update a Member profile in Ghost via API. You must map the customer's email, name, and programmatically transfer their physical Postcode into the Ghost "Notes" or custom metadata fields for easy export on print fulfillment days. Action B (Kajabi): Simultaneously grant the corresponding product "Offer" access inside Kajabi so they can access video masterclasses and communities using the same email address. Task 4: SEO Preservation & Legacy URL Redirection (Massively Important) Preserving our current Google search footprint and organic authority is non-negotiable. Evaluate our historical WordPress URL structure against Ghost's native clean URL layout (/post-name/). Write and format a comprehensive redirects.json routing file using wildcard/pattern rules where necessary. Upload the routing file into Ghost's redirection engine to guarantee all legacy search indexing and backlinks automatically map via 301 Permanent Redirects, eliminating 404 errors. Task 5: Data Seeding & Final Verification Import a clean, pre-formatted master list of 213 unique historical customers (provided via CSV) into both Ghost.org and Kajabi so legacy members are active on launch day. Conduct an end-to-end sandbox test checkout to verify that account provisioning, postcode mapping to Ghost notes, and Kajabi offer delivery fire flawlessly. 3. Execution Constraints & Zero-Downtime Rule Staging First: All theme configurations, page styling, Stripe webhook tests, and automated paths must be fully built and verified behind the scenes inside the default Ghost sandbox (brood.ghost.io) and Kajabi staging domains before any live DNS records are altered. Our active WordPress site must experience absolutely zero downtime. TTL Reduction: 24 to 48 hours prior to flipping the live switch, the contractor must lower the TTL (Time to Live) values in our DNS settings to 300 seconds to ensure near-instant global propagation. 4. Required Expertise Proven track record with Ghost.org installations, custom theme adjustments, and API endpoints. Advanced expertise configuring custom root domains and webhooks in Kajabi. Mastery of Stripe payment links, customer metadata mapping, and address rules. Expert-level mastery of Zapier or Make.com (handling multi-step paths and mapping raw string variables into external text notes). 5.
