Primary Duties: • Verify imported military records for accuracy • Compare records against Wikipedia, Gazette records, archives, medal rolls, and AI-assisted research • Identify missing medals, decorations, clasps, devices, stars, and campaign awards • Add missing medals to soldier profiles • Create new medals or devices in the database when required • Verify correct medal precedence and ribbon order • Verify undress ribbon racks • Save and finalize corrected records Examples of required knowledge: • Commonwealth oak leaf and bar systems • US bronze star and silver star device rules • Campaign stars and clasps • VC, GC, DSO, MC, DCM, MM, AFC, DFC, MID systems • NATO, UN, Coronation, Jubilee, Efficiency, and long service awards • Foreign awards and unit citations Initial Project Scope: • 100 US Medal of Honor recipients • 100 UK Victoria Cross recipients • Canadian Victoria Cross recipients • New Zealand Victoria Cross recipients • South African Victoria Cross recipients • Indian Victoria Cross recipients The initial phase is estimated at approximately 40 to 60 hours depending on experience and accuracy.
