Mitata Aviation T-Shirt Artwork Redesign
Worldwide
I need an existing airplane graphic redesigned for the back of a T-shirt. My current artwork contains too much solid fill, making the airplane appear overly white and heavy. I would like it redesigned in a vintage aviation screen-print style similar to classic hot rod attached here... I am looking for the aircraft T-shirt graphics where the shirt color becomes part of the artwork. Design Goals Reduce the amount of solid fill in the airplane. Use negative space and line work to create detail. Allow more of the shirt color to show through the artwork. Replace large filled areas with highlights, contour lines, shading, and engraving-style details. Maintain the overall airplane shape and recognizability. Create a more detailed, professional, vintage aviation look. Keep the artwork suitable for screen printing. Maintain the existing layout and overall design concept. What I Like About the Reference Design The attached hot rod graphic is a good example of the style I am looking for because: The vehicle is created primarily through line work and highlights. The shirt color becomes part of the design. There is significantly less solid ink coverage. The artwork has more depth, dimension, and visual interest. It has a classic vintage T-shirt appearance. Color Variations Required Version 1 – Dark Navy Shirts Artwork color: White Design should be optimized for dark navy fabric. Use negative space so the navy shirt color contributes to the overall appearance of the airplane. Version 2 – Military Green Shirts Same exact artwork and layout. Artwork color: Black Design should be optimized for military green fabric. Use the military green shirt color as part of the design through negative space and shading. Deliverables Adobe Illustrator (.AI) Vector EPS SVG Print-ready artwork White version for dark navy shirts Black version for military green shirts Additional Notes I do not want the airplane to look like a mostly solid white silhouette. Instead, I want the aircraft formed primarily through outlines, contour lines, shadows, highlights, and negative space so more of the shirt color shows through the design. Think of the artwork as a vintage engraved aviation illustration rather than a solid filled graphic. The final design should feel premium, timeless, and suitable for an aviation lifestyle brand.
