3D Model of Hydraulic Jack
Worldwide
I have a hydraulic jack that works by pumping a lever to raise the piston. To lower the piston, I loosen the small release valve at the bottom, then push the piston back down by hand. I want to modify the jack so that a hand wheel controls the entire operation. When I rotate the hand wheel by approximately a quarter turn (90°), it should raise the piston. As soon as I release the wheel, it should automatically return to its original position using a spring or another return mechanism. At the same time, the mechanism should automatically open the hydraulic release valve, allowing the piston to retract to its original position. The piston only needs to travel 5–10 mm (0.2–0.4 inches). The purpose of this machine is to split marble into small mosaic pieces with a single hand movement. I have attached a video showing the type of manual marble splitter I want to replicate. However, instead of relying entirely on manual force, I want to integrate the hydraulic jack into the mechanism to significantly reduce the operator’s effort while maintaining the same one-motion cutting action. The mechanism should be simple, reliable, robust, and suitable for fabrication using standard workshop equipment . https://youtu.be/bQx7c4eq4uk?si=inyHgGPdNFnCB0Fa
