Moderation Specialist

We are looking for an experienced content moderator to review user-generated text, images, and pages for policy violations on a large online platform. * Responsibilities include: * Reviewing and moderating content, * Removing or editing pages, * Issuing warnings and bans, * Escalating content that suggests a user is at risk of harm. The role may involve exposure to disturbing, offensive, or otherwise challenging material, including shock imagery. Candidates must be able to apply policy consistently and make sound judgment calls. Preferred qualifications: * Experience moderating online communities or user-generated content, * Strong familiarity with online culture, slang, memes, and evolving internet behavior, * Good understanding of U.S. cultural norms and context, * Experience with wikis or collaborative platforms preferred but not required, * Ability to work independently and handle sensitive material professionally. Prior moderation, trust & safety, or community management experience is strongly preferred.
