Most Editors Are Good. Almost None Get to Prove It at Scale.

Summary

I'm Jacob, founder of Spectra. We run paid social for the top brands in research peptides and elevated health. The verticals most performance agencies are too scared to operate in. The numbers: Some clients spend $10K-$20K per day in ad spend alone. Revenue days hit $50K-$100K. Average ROAS is 6X-10X. Not 2X. When a video hits, it doesn't get killed. It gets scaled. Same week. Sometimes same day. The work you produce here gets more spend in 72 hours than most editors see in 6 months. I've written every script, generated every shot, and edited every ad we've put out this year. When I give you feedback, I'm telling you what worked. I'm hiring the editor coming into the trenches with me. Who Gets to Find Out Most agencies hire video editors as execution hands. Footage in, ad out. I'm hiring the opposite. The editor I want pitches angles before I write the script, tears down competitor ad libraries before I ask, and has an opinion on pacing you can defend in a sentence. Two things you walk in with: AI-native editor. Fluent in Nano Banana Pro, Kling, Seedance, ElevenLabs, Suno, CapCut. Comfortable generating, composing, and finishing in one workflow. Direct response thinker. You know why a hook lands in three seconds, why a cut earns the next four, why one ad in twenty is the one that scales. One thing you'll learn here that no other agency can teach: how to make creative that converts in restricted verticals. Six months in, you'll have a skillset almost no editor in this room has. The Day-to-Day 3-5 video ad concepts per week. Volume scales as we add clients. Pitch in weekly strategy calls from day one. Your hooks tested alongside mine. Script writing, shot generation, ad library mining, and real buyer research baked into every concept. AI-native workflow: Nano Banana Pro, Kling, Seedance, ElevenLabs, Suno, CapCut. Editor → Junior Strategist → Creative Lead. Why Spectra Direct access to me. We talk daily. You learn working alongside me on real ad accounts where spend moves fast and the feedback loop is days, not weeks. Portfolio that opens doors. ROAS 6X-10X on creative you made. Six months in, your portfolio walks you through doors most editors can't see. Uncapped bonuses. Your winners pay you on top of base. The ads that scale are the ones you get paid on. Internal brand stake. We're launching our own brands in the next few weeks. You earn a percentage on the creative you make for them. The Trial 30-day paid trial. Real briefs. Real spend. If it's a fit, you're full-time. If not, you keep what we paid you. Who You Are I don't need an editor curious about AI. I need one already making it work. Hungry. You want to get better, not just stay employed. You can show me video ad work that ran on a real account. Brand spend or spec, the bar is quality. Pacing you can defend. Hooks that earn the click. You think before you cut. You bring the concept first and the timeline second. You move fast. "Polished" work that takes a week per ad doesn't survive here. Don't apply if: You need someone to teach you AI tools from scratch You wait for briefs instead of bringing concepts You can't take blunt feedback without it becoming personal You go dark for days You only edit. You don't have opinions about why ads work. You're spraying applications hoping one sticks How to Apply Submit your proposal with: 3-4 of your best video ad edits (at least two AI-generated) Brands you've worked with + any performance results you can share A 60-second Loom on one of the ads: why this hook, why this pacing, why this cut. What you'd do differently now. Proposals without all three get skipped. I read every one that includes them. If you've been waiting for a room where your best work actually runs, apply. If you read this and felt anxious, this isn't for you. That's okay.
