2D Motion Designer / After Effects Animator for iAMconnected Emotional Processing Animation Library

We are looking for a skilled 2D motion designer / After Effects animator to help create a small library of subtle, emotionally intelligent animated assets for iAMconnected, a meditation and emotional processing platform. We are looking to develop a reusable visual language that can represent emotional contraction, awareness, presence, nervous system activation, emotional integration, and conscious connection. We see this project as the beginning of a larger animation library that may ultimately include 20–30 reusable scenes across sales videos, masterclasses, courses, social media content, books, and keynote presentations. We already have a clear visual style guide with simple monoline human characters, iAMconnected blue linework, light grey shadows, grey scribbles to represent mental/emotional contraction, and gold accents to represent awareness, presence, love, clarity, and reconnection. The style should feel: - Minimal - Human - Spacious - Grounded - Premium - Emotionally intelligent It should not feel cartoonish, childish, comedic, overly dramatic, or like a generic explainer video. Initial Paid Test Project For the first stage, we would like to create 3 short animated assets: 1. Contracted Self A single person standing slightly hunched, arms crossed or held close to the body. A grey scribble floats above the head. Motion: - Subtle breathing - Slight downward head movement - Scribble gently moving or pulsing - Feeling of overwhelm, smallness, disconnection The feeling is overwhelm, contraction, stress, or disconnection. 2. Scribble Dissolving Person begins contracted with scribble overhead. The scribble slowly untangles, turns into gold lines/rays. Gold heart begins to glow. The body softens. Motion: - The scribble should not simply disappear. It should transform into gold lines, rays, light, or a visual representation of awareness and integration. - Gold glow appears in chest - Character posture opens - Breath becomes softer The feeling is emotional release, awareness, and reconnection. 3. Reactive Conversation Two people facing each other. Both are contracted, speaking from reactivity. Grey scribbles appear above one or both heads. Motion: - Small speech marks and abstract sound marks - Scribbles gently intensify - Bodies lean forward or close off - Nervous system loop feeling The feeling is reactivity, misunderstanding, emotional charge, and two nervous systems caught in a loop. Animation Style The movement should be subtle and elegant. Examples of movement: - Scribble gently moving, spinning - Gentle breathing - Soft heart pulse - Scribble gently moving, spinning, then straightening into gold lines - Slight posture shifts - Slow emotional transition - Minimal camera push or parallax Avoid: - Bouncy cartoon animation - Exaggerated expressions - Fast movement - Busy backgrounds - AI-looking distortion - Overly complex animation - Deliverables For Test Project Please provide: - 3 animated clips, approximately 5–8 seconds each - 16:9 version, 1920 x 1080 - 9:16 version, 1080 x 1920 - MP4 exports - Transparent background version where appropriate - Editable After Effects project files - Linked artwork/assets - PNG still frame export for each animation - Longer-Term Opportunity Brand Style Use the supplied iAMconnected character style guide as the primary visual reference. Ideal Candidate You should have experience with: - 2D character animation - After Effects - Motion graphics - Minimal line-art animation - Emotional storytelling - Creating reusable source files - Exporting for both YouTube/masterclass and vertical social formats Experience with Adobe Character Animator is a bonus, but not required.
