Motion Designer for Editorial Pitch
Worldwide
We need a motion designer to produce a ~100-second, 1080P pitch film for an AI product (Ladder AI). The visual craft — loading pills, cursor choreography, real-UI compositing, animated task lists, library pullbacks, sound discipline — must reproduce the look of our reference film. We have a fully shot-listed storyboard with 25 scenes, locked VO script, and a complete creative brief. We're looking for a senior motion designer who can absorb a strong existing aesthetic and execute it faithfully — not reinvent it. The reference film Anthropic Labs · Introducing Claude Design (April 2026, ~44 seconds) YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_LBECIQQqs Watch it in full before applying. What we want you to take from it The loading-pill beat. At ~10s, ~19s, and ~43s a white rounded pill appears centered on the canvas with a coral sparkle icon and an italic-serif word ('Tweaking…', 'Soldering…', 'Dimming…'). This is the brand-signature transition moment. We need it for our Scene 02-a ('Setting type…') and possibly elsewhere. Cursor as protagonist. The cursor approaches buttons, hovers, clicks, lingers. It tells the story of intent. No cursor cuts — every move is animated with weight. Real-UI compositing. The sidebars, task lists, modals, and canvas previews look like real product screens, not flat AE mockups. Typography, spacing, icons, and component states all read as production-grade UI. The animated task list. Around 19–22s, a Claude task list completes subtasks via a strikethrough that sweeps progressively across each line in real time. Tasks check off; text greys out. It's the most technically distinctive motion effect in the film. The library pullback. Around 29–31s the camera pulls back to reveal a wall of past artifacts. We do the same in our Scene 08 (twelve completed magazine articles). Color discipline. Two-tone canvas system: dark navy for the globe artifact, warm cream for the meditation app. Single coral accent (the sparkle, Send button, Tweaks pill). No saturated brand color elsewhere. Sound: no VO, no music score. Soft ambient pad underbed + selective UI sounds (clicks, type-in, modal opens). Note: our Ladder film does have a VO track layered on top — see the storyboard — but the reference's audio discipline (no score, sparse SFX) is the rule.
