Motion Designer for Premium Consumer Launch Video
Worldwide
Overview I'm commissioning a premium launch video, approximately 2 minutes long, for a pre-launch consumer social platform. The platform centers on social storytelling and emotionally charged real-world stories. For broad reference, think somewhere in the general world of modern Reddit-style discussion content. This will serve as the primary launch/brand video for the platform across the homepage, social rollout, and broader media usage. This is a platform launch video, not a documentary. The bulk of the runtime shows the platform itself through animated case pages, UI sequences, mixed-media editorial storytelling, and supplementary photography. The treatment is documentary-inspired in atmosphere and pacing, but the content itself is platform visualization with editorial storytelling around it. It's heavily driven by: * Typography * Pacing and editorial rhythm * Animated platform/UI sequences * Mixed-media storytelling * Emotionally timed transitions * Narrator-driven structure It is not a heavy VFX, 3D, cinematic compositing, or live-action production. If your sweet spot is kinetic typography, layered UI motion, premium editorial work, and precision pacing, this is the right project for you. If your portfolio leads with effects-driven 3D or live-action production, this may not be the fit. Deliverables - Final 16:9 master video - 9:16 vertical adaptation for social distribution - Working/project files - Final video with music, narration, and sound design integrated Candidate Info This project already has substantial creative direction and structure in place. The goal is not to start from a blank page, but to collaborate with the right motion designer to elevate the execution into something polished, emotionally effective, and visually memorable. The project already includes: * a fully designed interactive prototype * a structured narration script * pacing and story direction * visual references * core photography and supporting assets At the same time, I’m absolutely looking for strong creative instincts and editorial input from the right person. I want someone who can improve pacing, transitions, rhythm, emotional escalation, motion language, sound integration, and the overall polish of the piece — not just mechanically reproduce existing materials. What you bring: * A portfolio with multiple high-quality launch videos at premium consumer-tech or media caliber * Strong motion design and editorial instincts * Strong sense of pacing, emotional escalation, and narrative structure * Experience animating UI elements, product visualizations, and mixed-media editorial storytelling * Strong typography, pacing, and transition work * Sound design integration experience, or willingness to collaborate with a sound designer * Comfort working from detailed prototypes, references, and structured creative direction Taste and restraint matter more than flashy effects. Timeline: Kickoff within one week of selection. Final delivery within 2 to 3 weeks of kickoff. Selection process and pricing: Before full commission, I'm running a paid concept phase. From inquiries, I'll select 2 or 3 finalists. Each finalist will create approximately 20 to 22 seconds of the video focused on the transition from the opening atmosphere into the first major platform and case-storytelling sequence. I’m intentionally testing more than just the opening mood or visuals. The most important part of the project is how the video blends atmosphere, pacing, typography, narrative tension, and animated product storytelling into one cohesive piece. I'd like applicants to quote: 1. Paid concept phase fee 2. Full project fee for the complete project Concept fees are paid regardless of whether you're selected for the full project. How to apply Send: 1. Two or three specific launch videos you've produced that demonstrate documentary-inspired editorial or premium typography-led work 2. The specific AI and non-AI tools you'd use to build this 3. Your concept phase fee and full project fee quote 4. Your availability over the next 3 weeks NDA is required before sharing the prototype, script, brief, treatment, or assets.
