2D/2.5D Motion Designer for Theater

We are an innovative digital theater and immersive exhibition venue looking for a talented Video / Motion Artist to help us transform static artwork, concept art, and high-quality images into breathtaking, atmospheric animations. These animations will be projected on massive screens in a multi-projector, large-scale immersive environment. This is a project-based contract with the potential for long-term collaboration as we continuously develop new immersive exhibitions. What You Will Do: Image Separation & Preparation (Photoshop): Take static 2D images/paintings, cut them into layers (layering/masking), and paint out backgrounds (content-aware fill/cloning) to make them fully ready for animation. 2.5D Animation & Parallax (After Effects): Bring the layered artwork to life using parallax effects, subtle camera projections, and atmospheric elements (e.g., volumetric light rays, dust particles, smoke, water movement, floating debris). Formatting for Large-Scale Projections: Deliver high-resolution, high-bitrate files tailored to custom aspect ratios and multi-screen/multi-projector setups. Required Qualifications: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop. Proven track record in 2.5D Animation / Parallax Effect (turning 2D static art into cinematically moving scenes). Strong sense of atmosphere, pacing, scale, and lighting. Ability to work with massive resolutions/file sizes and maintain optimal render quality. Excellent communication skills and strict adherence to project deadlines. Experience working on Projection Mapping or immersive gallery/museum exhibitions. Experience using AI tools (Midjourney, Runway, Upscalers) to expand boundaries or enhance the resolution of source images. Basic understanding of 3D software (Blender/Cinema 4D) for camera projections. Please submit your proposal along with a link to your Portfolio or Showreel.
