# Science Explainer Motion Graphics Designer (Ongoing) ## Overview We're looking for a motion graphics designer to help create engaging infographic-style visuals for science and educational videos. The ideal candidate can take a script, storyboard, or rough concept and quickly turn it into clean, visually compelling graphics and short animated sequences that help explain complex scientific topics. This is ongoing work for a growing science and exploration-focused media brand. We produce videos covering ocean science, marine biology, conservation, technology, and scientific discoveries. ## What You'll Do * Create infographic-style visuals for YouTube and digital video content * Design diagrams, data visualizations, maps, process graphics, and scientific illustrations * Animate graphics in After Effects or similar software * Work from scripts, storyboards, and reference materials * Deliver editable source files and rendered assets * Collaborate with our production team on revisions ## Example Projects * Explain how sperm whales dive to extreme depths * Visualize ocean currents and climate systems * Show the migration routes of marine species * Break down scientific research findings into clear visual explanations * Create animated timelines, maps, and data-driven graphics ## Requirements * Strong motion graphics portfolio * Experience creating infographic and explainer-style animations * Proficiency in After Effects, Illustrator, Figma, or similar tools * Ability to simplify complex information visually * Strong communication and ability to meet deadlines ## Nice to Have * Experience with science, educational, documentary, or technical content * Background in scientific illustration * Familiarity with YouTube and digital-first storytelling * Experience using AI tools to accelerate design workflows ## To Apply Please include: 1.
