Motion Graphics Editor, Cinematic Event Launch Trailer + Cut-Downs (60-80s, "Movie Trailer" Style)
Worldwide
Overview We're launching a trailer for a large international event, and we're looking for an exceptional motion graphics editor to lead the edit. This is a fast-paced, dramatic, "movie trailer" style piece built around the theme "In the spotlight." Think cinematic pacing, bold kinetic typography, and slick bespoke animation, cut to music with real energy. This is a high-visibility deliverable (website, social, paid ads, and big screens at a live event), so we're after someone whose reel genuinely stands out. The project A 60 to 80 second launch trailer that builds like a film trailer: dramatic opening, rising energy, big finish. It combines kinetic text, real event footage of people, short testimonial moments woven into the background, stock/AI visuals, and custom animation sequences. The tone is glamorous, iconic, high-impact and celebratory. One concept we're exploring for the opening: something playing on a screen (a screening room / cinema / screen-within-a-screen) that sets a dramatic tone. We'd love an editor who can bring ideas like this to life and pitch their own. Deliverables 1 x master trailer, 16:9, max 1m20s, English, no voiceover (text on screen) 1 x vertical version, 9:16 10 x PPC cut-downs from the same edit, supplied in English and French (we provide the French copy): Instagram Story, 1080x1920, 15s YouTube Shorts, 1080x1920, 10s YouTube Shorts, 1080x1920, 20s YouTube landscape, 1920x1080, 15s YouTube landscape, 1920x1080, 25s What we'll provide Brand assets (logos, colours, brand fonts), all source footage, stock/AI shots, the script, French copy for the localised versions, music direction, and a detailed brief with reference timestamps. Reference videos (please watch before applying, they define the style we're chasing) Slush 2019, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENtFYNq_78U : dramatic tone; testimonials running in the background (in short bursts, not throughout). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGQZ4NTZgOQ : genuine movie-trailer feel; note the "TV/screen" idea around 0:28. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-YSR2EwWfA : the animation style at 0:12, 0:49 and 1:05. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4haZJxpf9Bo : the "typing in a search bar" animation.
