Motion Graphics + Funny Social Shorts for AI SaaS Launch (Ongoing Work Likely)

We're Vext Labs — a small, well-funded AI startup launching publicly in the next few weeks. We're looking for a versatile marketing video producer who can help us ship a full launch content campaign and stick around as our ongoing video/visual partner. This is hourly, ongoing, and friendly. We've done the strategic and creative legwork. We need a great executor who can also pitch when our ideas don't work. What we need you to make The initial scope is roughly 7 videos plus supporting marketing imagery. We have a full creative brief ready — shot lists, voiceover scripts, dialog, stitch notes, brand references — all in a Figma file we'll share on day one. Phase 1: Funny short-form social videos (5 videos) 8–10 seconds each, 9:16 vertical, sound-on For TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and X Mix of motion graphics, screen recordings, and character work Each one is a single comedic beat with a quotable line — think "Linear's product films, but with comedic timing" Phase 2: 60-second product launch film The hero video for our homepage and launch Polished product photography + screen content + motion graphics Voiceover-led with crisp sound design Phase 3: 90-second long-form intro The extended cut for press kits, pitch decks, partner conversations Founder narrative + product walkthrough Premium brand-film aesthetic Ongoing (months 2+): Additional social shorts on a regular cadence Static marketing images (product mockups, social cards, blog headers, ad creative) Whatever launch and post-launch demand Who you are 3+ years of marketing video production, ideally for SaaS, tech, or premium consumer brands. Strong in After Effects (or equivalent) for motion graphics. Comfortable in Premiere / Final Cut / DaVinci for edit and grade. Comfortable producing simple character-driven and screen-recording content — animated, mixed-media, or AI-assisted (we use ChatGPT-Image, Grok Imagine, Runway, Veo, ElevenLabs where they help). Sharp eye for premium brand work. You instinctively recognize what "Linear / Notion / Stripe-tier polish" looks like and can produce at that level. Can write or sharpen funny copy. Our short videos live and die on quotable lines. You won't be writing from scratch — but you should be able to push back on a line that doesn't land. Comfortable in Figma. You can pull assets, understand a brand system, work within constraints. Modern, not AI-dependent. We've tried AI-only video pipelines and they don't deliver the polish we need. We want a real producer who uses AI tools where they help and ignores them where they don't. Ship-oriented. You communicate proactively, ask the right questions early, and hit deadlines.
