Motion graphic & Animation Designer for Fire Protection
Worldwide
Motion Graphics / Animation Designer — Fire Protection & Life Safety Industry About Us We're the marketing team for a national network of fire protection and life safety companies, serving commercial, industrial, healthcare, educational, and multi-tenant customers across the U.S. Our work spans fire sprinkler systems, fire alarms, monitoring, inspections, testing, maintenance, installation, and code compliance. We're looking to bring our technical content to life visually — turning complex safety and compliance information into clear, engaging motion content. Project Overview We need a skilled motion graphics / animation designer to produce a series of explainer videos, infographic animations, and short-form motion graphics that communicate fire protection concepts, service offerings, and safety education to a business audience (facility managers, property owners, and compliance officers). This is not entertainment content — it's technical, trust-building content that needs to feel polished, credible, and easy to follow for viewers who may not have a technical background. What You'll Be Creating Explainer videos (60–120 seconds) covering topics like fire sprinkler system basics, inspection/testing cycles, code compliance requirements, and fire alarm monitoring Animated infographics translating data, statistics, and process flows (e.g., "what happens during a fire alarm inspection") into clean visual storytelling Short-form social/marketing animations for LinkedIn and website use, highlighting services and safety tips Motion treatment of existing static brand assets (logos, icons, diagrams) where needed Ideal Experience Strongly preferred: prior work in the fire protection, life safety, or fire/security systems industry Also welcome: experience in construction, industrial services, B2B trades, engineering, or facilities/property management content — familiarity with technical or regulated industries is a major plus Comfortable interpreting technical/compliance subject matter and simplifying it without losing accuracy Portfolio demonstrating explainer video and/or animated infographic work (please include links or reels) Required Skills Motion graphics design (After Effects or equivalent) Vector illustration for animation (Illustrator or equivalent) Storyboarding and script-to-visual translation Sound/music syncing and basic audio mixing for video Ability to work from brand guidelines (colors, fonts, logo usage) and maintain consistency across deliverables Clear communication and reliable turnaround on revisions Nice to Have Voiceover sourcing/direction experience Experience with whiteboard-style or character-based explainer formats 3D motion or isometric animation skills Experience creating content for LinkedIn/social distribution formats (captions, aspect ratios, etc.) Project Details Engagement type: [fixed-price per video / hourly — specify before posting] Estimated scope: [e.g., 3–5 videos to start, with potential for ongoing work] Timeline: [insert target turnaround per video, e.g., 2–3 weeks] Deliverables: Source files (After Effects project or equivalent) plus final exports in required formats/resolutions How to Apply Please include: Links to 2–3 relevant samples (explainer videos or animated infographics preferred; industrial/construction/technical B2B work especially relevant) A brief note on your experience with technical or regulated-industry content, if any Your typical turnaround time for a 60–90 second explainer video Your rate (hourly or estimated per-video fixed price) We're looking to build a long-term working relationship with the right designer for ongoing content needs, not just a one-off project.
