Motorsport Broadcast Editor / Motion Designer. Sim-Racing Lap Comparison + Sportscast Package. We're creating a sim-racing tournament and need several (15+) short, sports broadcast-like episodes per matchup. The final videos will be build from in-person recordings and mostly from in-game footage. Some of the primary challenges will be Each video will show a head-to-head (car vs ghost car) lap plus a ~1-minute sportscast-style segment. Think F1's qualifying-lap comparisons of one car vs another. We'd like a live gap gap readout and other effects. This is an ongoing need of approx 15 videos in a 6 week period. So I'm looking for someone to partner with, not a one-off. What you'll do You'll receive game data data from us, upload to Asseto Corsa, then download the angles and footage you need. The car vs ghost car footage from the game can be combined via Virtual Steward and other effects added there. You load the two laps into Virtual Steward, merge them into a single head-to-head sequence, then choose the camera angles that best tell the story (Cam Tool + Drone Cam) and capture in OBS. These tools are simple to operate and tutorials exist. The craft and hard part is everything after this: Design the broadcast graphics: a live gap/distance readout, title cards info about drivers, branding, etc. Edit the full package: the lap comparison plus a ~1-minute segment covering the driver, the day, the event, and where the matchup sits in the bracket, with music and sound design. Deliver vertical and horizontal cuts for social, with project files included. Must have A reel of sports / esports / broadcast-style motion graphics and edited packages. Not generic YouTube edits, and not film VFX. Strong multi-source editing, comfortable syncing real footage (GoPro) against screen-captured gameplay footage and cutting to picture and music. A Windows PC that can run Assetto Corsa with Custom Shaders Patch on high settings (required to produce and capture the footage). Nice to have Existing experience with Assetto Corsa, sim racing, or motorsport content.
