Cabinet Production Mozaik Drafting & Estimating Specialist About Us Builders Laminates & Casework (BLC) is a commercial casework and laminate countertop manufacturer serving the Baltimore-Washington region. We produce custom commercial cabinetry, millwork, and laminate surfaces for offices, medical facilities, schools, restaurants, and tenant improvement projects. We are seeking a detail-oriented production specialist to help transition sold projects from estimating into manufacturing using Mozaik cabinet software. Position Overview Once a project is awarded, you will be responsible for converting approved plans and specifications into production-ready information for our shop. This role bridges the gap between estimating and manufacturing by creating shop drawings, production drawings, material takeoffs, cut lists, and purchasing quantities while validating that the project aligns with our original estimate. The ideal candidate has experience with custom cabinetry, commercial casework, millwork, woodworking, cabinet engineering, or production planning. Responsibilities Review awarded project documents, plans, specifications, and approved finishes Build projects within Mozaik Cabinet Software Create cabinet layouts and production drawings Generate shop drawings for client review and approval Produce cut lists and manufacturing reports Generate material takeoffs and purchasing quantities Verify hardware, laminate, edgebanding, and sheet good requirements Compare actual production requirements against the original estimate Identify scope gaps, omissions, change orders, or estimating errors Assist in developing standard cabinet libraries and production templates Coordinate with management regarding production questions and design issues Required Experience Mozaik Cabinet Software experience preferred Experience with custom cabinetry, commercial casework, or millwork Ability to read architectural drawings and specifications Understanding of cabinet construction methods Experience creating shop drawings and production documentation Knowledge of laminate, melamine, plywood, hardware, and edgebanding Strong attention to detail and organization Preferred Experience Commercial casework experience CNC manufacturing knowledge Cut-list optimization experience Material takeoff and purchasing experience Estimating or cost-analysis experience Deliverables for Each Project For each awarded project, we expect: Complete Mozaik project file Shop drawing package Cabinet production drawings Material takeoff Hardware takeoff Cut lists CNC-ready production reports Estimate validation report highlighting any discrepancies To Apply Please include: Description of your cabinet/casework experience Experience with Mozaik or similar software (Cabinet Vision, Microvellum, KCD, etc.) Examples of shop drawings you have created Examples of cut lists or production reports Your hourly rate
