Multi-Company Paid Ads & Growth Manager Must Work EST
Worldwide
Meta • Google • LinkedIn • YouTube • Retargeting • New Channel Testing We are looking for an experienced Part-Time Paid Ads & Growth Manager to oversee paid advertising and customer acquisition across a portfolio of companies. This is not simply a Meta Ads or Google Ads position. We want someone who thinks like a growth marketer and business owner — someone who can look at each company, understand its customer, determine where we should advertise, build campaigns, measure results, and continuously improve performance. The Mission Your responsibility is simple: Find the most effective and profitable ways to generate qualified leads, appointments, customers, and revenue for each company. We want to know: $1 spent → Leads → Qualified Leads → Appointments → Sales → Revenue Clicks and impressions matter, but they are not our ultimate measurement of success. Multi-Company Responsibility You will work across several businesses with very different customers, offers, and acquisition strategies. These include businesses in areas such as: Insurance Employee benefits Retirement plan / ERISA fiduciary services B2B professional services E-commerce Consumer products Other businesses and new ventures as they are launched Each business should have its own advertising strategy, budget, KPIs, funnel, and testing plan. We do NOT want someone who copies the same strategy from one company to another. Advertising Channels You should have experience with several of the following: Meta — Facebook & Instagram Google Search Google Display Google Performance Max YouTube LinkedIn Microsoft/Bing Ads Retargeting Local advertising opportunities Marketplace advertising where appropriate E-commerce advertising Other paid acquisition channels We also want you constantly researching new advertising opportunities. If there is a platform, advertising strategy, offer, campaign structure, or marketing approach working successfully for another company, we want you to identify it and determine whether we should test it. Your Responsibilities 1. Audit Every Company Before simply spending money, understand each business. For each company, identify: Ideal customer Geographic market Products/services Average customer value Existing advertising Existing funnels Landing pages CRM Conversion tracking Current CPL/CPA Current appointment rate Current sales/conversion rate Competitors Opportunities Then develop an advertising strategy. 2. Build a Paid Advertising Plan For each company, recommend: Channel → Audience → Offer → Creative → Landing Page → Follow-Up → Conversion Determine: Where we should advertise Where we should NOT advertise Initial budget Testing budget Target CPL Target cost per appointment/acquisition Retargeting strategy Scaling strategy We do not want advertising spend spread across platforms simply for the sake of being everywhere. Follow the results. 3. Manage Campaigns You will help create and manage: Campaign structure Audiences Keywords Ad copy Creative concepts Offers Landing pages Lead forms Retargeting A/B tests Budget allocation Bidding strategies You should continuously: Test → Measure → Improve → Scale 4. Daily Performance Monitoring We expect active campaigns to be monitored regularly. Important metrics include: Spend Impressions CPM CTR CPC Leads Cost per lead Qualified leads Appointments Cost per appointment Sales Customer acquisition cost Revenue ROAS We do not want poorly performing campaigns spending money for weeks before someone notices. Follow the Lead All the Way to Revenue One of the most important requirements of this position is understanding that advertising does not end when someone fills out a form. We want to track: AD → CLICK → LEAD → CRM → FOLLOW-UP → APPOINTMENT → SALE → REVENUE If a campaign produces 100 cheap leads but no customers, that campaign is not successful. You should help identify whether problems are coming from: Advertising Targeting Offer Landing page Lead quality Follow-up Appointment scheduling Sales process Tracking Competitive Intelligence We want continuous competitive research. Look at: Competitor ads Meta Ad Library Google search results Competitor landing pages Offers Headlines Creative Calls to action Funnels New advertising strategies We want to learn from what is working elsewhere. Do not blindly copy competitors. Instead: Find → Analyze → Adapt → Test → Measure Daily Reporting We want a simple daily advertising report across the portfolio. Portfolio Overview Total spend Leads Qualified leads Appointments Sales Revenue CPL Cost per appointment CPA ROAS By Company Show: Yesterday's performance Month-to-date performance What improved What declined Problems discovered Opportunities discovered Recommended Changes Tell us: What should change Why Expected impact Budget impact Major changes should be presented for approval before implementation. Weekly Growth Review Once per week, provide a higher-level analysis: KEEP What is working and should continue? FIX What is underperforming and can be improved? STOP What are we spending money on that should be stopped? SCALE What is working well enough to receive more budget? TEST What new campaign, audience, offer, creative, platform, or strategy should we test next? Tracking & Technology Strong experience is preferred with: Google Analytics 4 Google Tag Manager Google Ads conversion tracking Meta Pixel Meta Conversions API LinkedIn Insight Tag Call tracking UTM tracking CRM attribution Landing-page tracking Conversion tracking Experience with GoHighLevel (GHL) is a major plus. We want someone capable of helping us build reliable attribution so decisions are based on actual data. Compliance Some of our businesses operate in regulated industries. Advertising must comply with applicable: Advertising platform policies Insurance requirements Medicare advertising requirements Financial-services requirements Privacy requirements If you are unsure whether something is compliant, you should raise the issue before launching it. Who We Want We are looking for someone who: Has proven paid advertising experience Is analytical Understands business economics Understands funnels Understands conversion tracking Can manage multiple companies Can prioritize opportunities Communicates clearly Works independently Identifies problems without waiting to be told Constantly tests new ideas Can explain why a campaign is or isn't working Most importantly: We want someone obsessed with improving results — not simply managing advertising accounts. Position Part-Time — approximately 15–20 hours per week initially This is intended to be an ongoing, long-term position. Hours and responsibilities can increase based on performance. Application Requirements Please answer ALL of the following. 1. How many years have you personally managed paid advertising? 2. Which platforms have you personally managed? 3. What is the largest monthly advertising budget you have personally managed? 4. Describe a campaign you personally improved. Include: Industry Monthly spend Starting CPL/CPA Changes you made Final CPL/CPA Business result 5. Have you managed advertising across multiple companies or brands simultaneously? How many? 6. What experience do you have with B2B advertising? 7. What experience do you have with local-service advertising? 8. What experience do you have with e-commerce advertising? 9. What experience do you have with regulated industries such as insurance, Medicare, financial services, or retirement services? 10. What tracking systems have you personally implemented? 11. Have you worked with GoHighLevel? 12. You inherit a campaign generating inexpensive leads but almost no appointments. What are the first five things you investigate? 13. You inherit five companies with limited advertising budgets. How would you determine which companies and channels should receive advertising dollars first? 14. Give us one example of an advertising strategy or channel you believe many businesses currently overlook. 15. How do you decide when to STOP a campaign versus continuing to optimize it? IMPORTANT Please do not send us a generic Upwork application. Start your proposal with: “I manage advertising for revenue, not clicks.” Then answer the questions above. We are specifically looking for someone who wants to become a long-term part of our team and help us build a data-driven advertising system across multiple companies.
