Native German Proofreader — Ad Scripts, Web Copy & Emails (Long-Term)

We're a fast-growing e-commerce brand launching in the German market and looking for a native German proofreader and copy editor to join our team on a long-term, ongoing basis. This is not a one-off gig — we want to build a working relationship with someone who becomes our go-to person for every piece of German content we put in front of customers. What you'll work on We'll start with proofreading and refining our VSL ad scripts (short video sales letters). Once we're rolling on those, we'll expand to the rest of our German-language content: - Website copy — product pages, landing pages, legal pages, FAQ - Email marketing flows — welcome series, abandoned cart, post-purchase - Customer transactional notifications — order confirmations, shipping updates, refund emails - Ad copy variations for paid campaigns (Meta, TikTok, Google) Who we're looking for - Native German speaker (not C2 — actually native, ideally with strong cultural fluency for tone) - Sharp eye for grammar, tone, clarity, and brand voice consistency - Understands conversion copy — we don't just want typos fixed, we want copy that actually performs - Reliable turnaround on short tasks (typically 24–48 hours) - Comfortable working asynchronously across multiple content types - Bonus: experience with e-commerce, DTC brands, or beauty/intimate apparel How we work - Hourly or per-task pricing — happy to discuss what works best for you - We'll kick off with a small paid test on one VSL script so we can see your style - If we click, we'll send regular work and aim to integrate you as a long-term part of the team - Clear briefs, fast feedback, friendly communication To apply, please include: 1.
