Native German Video Editor - Social media & ads
Worldwide
## Summary Freelance German Video Editor: turn restaurant footage into natural German social videos, with language QA. ## About us We run curated dining-discovery events across the Netherlands, the UK, and Germany. Six restaurants. Six dishes. Pairings to match. One afternoon. Guests show up, follow a self-guided route, and meet the restaurants worth knowing in their city. We started in the Netherlands as WijnSpijs. Our international markets are now growing under Table6: the same selection discipline, the same care for restaurants, adapted to each country and city. Germany is one of our newest markets, and we need a German-speaking editor who can help us make the content feel native from the first cut to the final subtitle. ## The project We are building a steadier content pipeline for Germany. This is not a one-off video edit. We are looking for a freelance editor we can work with consistently as Germany grows. We already have a Notion-based Content OS with campaigns, asset cards, briefs, footage links, deadlines, review steps, and final asset links. You will work from that system rather than loose messages scattered across email and chat. Most projects will start from a Notion card: what the asset is, who it is for, where it will be used, what footage is available, what the goal is, and when it needs to be ready. You edit, check the German, share the final asset or review link, and help move the work through language QA and final review. This role includes German language checking. Not as an afterthought. The rhythm of a sentence, the timing of a cut, the wording of a subtitle, the tone of a caption - those details matter. We want German videos that sound like they were made for German guests, not translated for them. ## What we need from you - Edit short-form videos for German social media and paid ads - Work with restaurant footage, guest testimonials, behind-the-scenes material, and event-day content - Cut spoken German naturally, with attention to sentence structure, pauses, meaning, and intonation - Add and check German subtitles, hooks, on-screen text, captions, and end cards - Make sure German copy is fluent, clear, and aligned with the Table6 tone - Work from Notion briefs, footage links, deadlines, and review steps - Turn structured briefs into ready-to-review edits - Respond well to feedback and keep revisions clean - Help us spot repeated language issues so our German content improves over time ## Who we're looking for - A native or fully fluent German speaker with excellent written German - A video editor with strong short-form social experience - Someone who understands pacing, hooks, subtitles, retention, and platform-native formats - Someone with taste for food, restaurants, cities, and people - Comfortable working in Notion and following a structured content workflow - Interested in consistent freelance work, not just a single edit - Clear communicator in English - Reliable with deadlines and remote collaboration - Comfortable working in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, CapCut, After Effects, or similar tools ## Nice to have - Experience with hospitality, food, travel, lifestyle, or event content - Experience editing paid social ads, not only organic posts - Basic motion graphics or branded template skills - If you can also film professional footage in Germany, mention it. It is not required for this role, but it may open up future work. ## How we'll work We would like to start with a paid test project using real footage. If the collaboration works well, we want an ongoing freelance relationship. We have a Notion Content OS where briefs, footage, asset status, deadlines, review steps, and final files live. You should be comfortable opening a Notion card, understanding the brief, asking clear questions when something is missing, and updating the work as it moves from edit to review to final asset. The aim is simple: German content should move through our system without getting stuck between editing and language review. ## To apply Start your proposal with the word "six" so we know you read this.
