Native Spanish Reviewer for AI-Translated Children’s SRT Subtitles
Worldwide
We are preparing a large library of children’s educational music videos for launch and need a native Spanish reviewer to proof and correct AI-translated Spanish SRT subtitle files. This is not translation from scratch. The Spanish subtitles will already be translated from English. Your job is to compare the Spanish SRT against the original English SRT and make sure the Spanish is accurate, natural, child-friendly, and easy to understand. The content is for young children, mainly first grade, so the language must be warm, clear, simple, and appropriate for families. You will receive: - Original English SRT file - AI-translated Spanish SRT file - English vs. Spanish review table when available - Clear instructions for what to review and correct Your responsibilities: - Review the Spanish translation against the English source - Correct mistranslations, awkward phrasing, grammar issues, and overly literal wording - Keep the tone child-friendly, warm, simple, and natural - Preserve all SRT cue numbers and timecodes exactly - Make sure subtitles are readable within the timing shown - Flag any English source lines that seem unclear or incomplete - Return the corrected Spanish SRT file Important: Each video file is usually around 10–15 minutes long. The first file may take up to 60 minutes as you learn the workflow. After that, each file should generally take 30–45 minutes. Please do not spend more than 60 minutes on any file without approval. This is a long-term batch project with many files. We are looking for someone accurate, consistent, efficient, and careful with subtitle formatting. Required qualifications: - Native or near-native Spanish fluency - Strong English comprehension - Experience with SRT subtitle files preferred - Experience with children’s, educational, or family-friendly content preferred - Must be comfortable preserving SRT formatting exactly - Must communicate clearly and provide brief notes when important corrections are made To begin, we will ask selected candidates to complete a short paid test using 10–20 subtitle cues before assigning full files. Please include in your application: 1. Your Spanish background/native fluency 2. Your experience with SRT files or subtitle review 3. Whether you are comfortable preserving timecodes exactly 4. Your hourly rate 5. Confirmation that you understand this is AI-translation review, not full translation from scratch
