Natural Cosmetic Formulator with Herbal/Botanical Background to Develop a Natural Bath Product

About the Role We are a UK-based bathing brand developing a range of anhydrous bath products built around botanical, salt, and essential oil blends. We are looking for an experienced cosmetic formulator (ideally with a background in herbalism, aromatherapy, or botanical medicine) to co-develop our formulas from concept through to a finished, compliant recipe ready for CPSR submission. We have a clear product concept, what we need is a technically skilled collaborator who can translate that vision into safe, stable, shelf-ready formulas, offering suggestions and recommendations along the way to ensure the product performs as intended. What We Need Help With • Co-development of anhydrous bath formulas from concept • Botanical and essential oil selection and safe usage rates (IFRA compliant) • Ingredient ratios and formula balancing for stability and skin safety • Natural antioxidant and preservation recommendations • Ingredient grade and sourcing specifications • Packaging material compatibility and recommendations for anhydrous botanical products • Finished formula documentation suitable for CPSR submission Ideal Candidate • Background in herbalism, aromatherapy, or botanical cosmetics strongly preferred • Experience formulating anhydrous, salt-based or botanical products • Understands what a CPSR assessor needs technically from a formula • Collaborative working style, this is a co-creation, not a handoff • Comfortable with an independent founder who is engaged and hands-on To Apply Please include: • Experience with botanical or natural cosmetic formulation • Any relevant herbal or aromatherapy background • Preferred engagement structure and rates • Availability and estimated timeframe
