Summary

ABOUT ME I run a fast-growing faceless Dungeons & Dragons / TTRPG YouTube channel with over 90,000 subscribers and am looking to bring on an additional editor to help me continue to grow the channel. Outside of running this channel, I work professionally in film production, marketing, and teach film production. If you are a media/film student or a newer editor looking to build a bulletproof resume, refine your pacing, and learn industry-standard production and asset management workflows, this role is designed for you. THE GOAL I am expanding the production schedule from one video every two weeks to once a week if note more, and I am looking for a dedicated, creative editor to join the forge and grow with me. Be the Lixian to my Markiplier, and if you understand that reference then I know you're the right person lol. THE WORK AND WORKFLOW You will be handed everything you need to succeed. We run a clean, professional pipeline: What we provide: -A fully edited, scripted master audio track, specific character/persona art assets, structured stock footage folders, and a clear creative brief. -Your job: Assemble the visual narrative. This involves cutting B-roll, integrating custom art assets, adding dynamic text/lower thirds, and ensuring the pacing keeps viewers highly engaged. -Turnaround: Strict 4-day turnaround per video once assets are delivered. (For context, a 20-minute video takes me roughly 8 hours of editing time). WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR -Technical Foundations: Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve. You understand the basics of multi-track editing, audio balancing, and clean export settings. -TTRPG/D&D Literacy: You must understand the tabletop RPG space. You know what a D20 is, what a Dungeon Master does, and can pick up on visual cues when the audio mentions specific monsters, classes, or tropes. -Receptive to Feedback: A desire to learn. You view constructive feedback as a tool to sharpen your craft. With that said, I will keep each video to no more than 2 rounds of subjective feedback. -Reliability: Able to meet a consistent, predictable weekly deadline. I work on a strict 3 strikes system. -Someone who see's this as a paid internship more than a gig. I put a lot of work into my channel and want someone who understands my goals. HOW TO APPLY (Please no copy and paste letters, I will ignore it) To ensure you’ve read this posting and understand the niche, please reply with: - A brief introduction about your experience with video editing and your personal connection to D&D/TTRPGs. - A link to your portfolio, reel, or examples of videos you have edited. - The Secret Word: To prove you aren't an AI bot spamming applications, please include the word "INITIATIVE" at the very top of your message. The Selection Process - Paid Trial Run We respect your time and your craft. If your initial application is a good fit, we will move to a Paid Trial Run before making a long-term commitment. - The Test: You will be given a short 2-to-3-minute segment and a small pool of assets. - The Goal: This is designed to test your baseline pacing, visual storytelling instincts, and how you handle asset placement within our channel's style. - Compensation: This is a fully paid trial. Win or lose, you will be compensated a flat $[Insert Amount, e.g., $40–$50] for your time and effort on the sample edit. - Feedback: Because mentorship is a core part of this role, I will provide direct, constructive feedback on your trial edit so you know exactly where you stand.
