NetSuite Techno-Functional Consultant (SuiteScript + Admin)

Type: Contract / Part-time-to-Full-time (specify hours based on your Upwork budget) About the Role We're looking for an experienced NetSuite consultant to support an active ERP implementation for a distribution/wholesale business running on multiple subsidiaries. This is ongoing, ticket-based work covering SuiteScript development, workflow automation, custom PDF/BI templates, role & permission administration, and light integration work. You'll be working directly against a live backlog of 70+ open items ranging from quick admin fixes to multi-day scripting projects. What You'll Work On Custom Suitelets (order entry, approval workflows) SuiteScript 2.x development for inventory, transfer pricing, and transaction automation SuiteFlow workflow configuration (approval routing, email notifications, status triggers) PDF/HTML template customization (FreeMarker) invoices, statements, checks Role, permission, and dashboard administration across multiple subsidiaries Saved search creation and report troubleshooting CSV import/export configuration Light integration support (SuiteTalk REST / RESTlet) for third-party and POS systems Requirements 3+ years hands-on NetSuite implementation/support experience Strong SuiteScript 2.x (Suitelets, User Event, Scheduled, Workflow scripts) Experience with SuiteFlow and FreeMarker (Advanced PDF/HTML templates) Solid grasp of NetSuite roles/permissions, saved searches, and dashboard setup Comfortable working from a shared ticket tracker with mixed priority levels Multi-subsidiary NetSuite experience a strong plus Experience with SuiteTalk REST / RESTlet integrations a plus Clear written communication this role involves documenting fixes and explaining tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders Nice to Have Background supporting wholesale/distribution or ecommerce operations Experience with inventory costing, transfer pricing, or commission calculation logic in NetSuite Prior work in a Sandbox → Production release cycle How We Work Tickets are tracked and prioritized (High/Medium/Low) in a shared tracker Weekly (or biweekly) check-in call to review progress and reprioritize Mix of quick admin turnarounds and longer scripting builds ability to context-switch is important To Apply Please include: Examples of SuiteScript/Suitelet work you've shipped (sanitized is fine) Your experience with multi-subsidiary NetSuite environments
