Network & Security Engineer

About Us We are a Swiss-based IT company managing multiple client infrastructures. To strengthen our capabilities, we are looking to collaborate with experienced specialists in networking and security. Role Overview We are looking for a Network & Security Engineer to support our team on network design, security, and infrastructure audits. This is a backline role with no direct client interaction. Key Responsibilities - Configure and maintain Fortigate firewalls (policies, VPNs, routing) - Manage Ubiquiti environments (switching, Wi-Fi, VLANs) - Perform security audits and identify vulnerabilities - Improve network architecture and segmentation - Support endpoint protection solutions (Kaspersky or equivalent) - Assist with incident response and troubleshooting - Maintain clear and structured documentation (Hudu) Required Skills - Strong experience with Fortigate environments - Solid networking fundamentals (VLANs, routing, firewalling) - Experience with Ubiquiti ecosystems - Good understanding of IT security principles - Experience conducting audits and writing recommendations Collaboration Model - Operate as a senior backline expert within our team - No direct client communication - Mix of: - Reactive support (short response time when needed) - Planned work (network improvements, audits, projects) - Work is coordinated internally; final decisions remain in-house - Flexible, long-term collaboration Soft Skills - Autonomous and detail-oriented - Strong analytical mindset - Clear communicator Language Requirements - Fluent English required
