Title: Network Support Engineer | MikroTik RouterOS, BGP, VPN, Firewall Job Description: I am looking for a skilled network engineer to help with a small business network setup, review, and troubleshooting task. The environment may include MikroTik RouterOS, routers, switches, VPN, firewall rules, VLAN, NAT, DHCP, DNS, and routing configuration. I need someone who can check the current setup, find possible issues, improve the configuration if needed, and explain the result clearly. This is a fixed-price project with a $100 budget. If the first task is completed well, I may continue with ongoing network support and maintenance work. Technical Work: Review MikroTik RouterOS configuration Check routing, firewall rules, NAT, DHCP, DNS, and VLAN settings Help with BGP configuration or troubleshooting if needed Review VPN setup such as IPsec, WireGuard, OpenVPN, or L2TP Check router and switch configuration for stability and security Troubleshoot internet, LAN, VPN, or routing problems Improve network performance and reliability Suggest safe configuration changes when needed Required Skills: Strong experience with MikroTik RouterOS Good understanding of BGP routing Network routing, subnetting, VLAN, NAT, DHCP, and DNS Firewall rules and secure network configuration VPN setup and troubleshooting Small business or office network support experience Ability to document changes clearly Deliverables: Current network issue reviewed and diagnosed Configuration fixed or improvement plan provided Short technical report with root cause and changes made Notes or screenshots showing the completed result Clear explanation of any remaining risks or next steps Preferred: Experience with Cisco, FortiGate, UniFi, or similar network devices CCNA, MikroTik, or other networking certification is a plus Careful work style with no random changes Good communication through Upwork Please apply with a short message about your experience with MikroTik RouterOS, BGP, VPN, firewall rules, and small business network troubleshooting.
