Next Js Node Js Booking Website

We are an established airport transfer business looking to build a brand new custom booking website, to replace our current WordPress site which we found difficult to manage and extend. We are seeking an experienced developer to build this project from the ground up, and ideally provide ongoing support and maintenance after launch. Preferred Tech Stack - Frontend: Next.js (chosen for excellent SEO, speed, responsiveness and scalability) - Backend: Node.js - We are open to your recommendations on database, payment gateway and others Customer-Facing Booking Flow Fully responsive design – seamless experience on desktop, tablet and mobile - Pickup & dropoff location search & selection using Google Maps API - Automatic distance & travel time calculation to generate quotes - Dynamic pricing: calculate prices based on our backend rules: mileage, journey time, and vehicle type - Selection of different vehicle categories - Customer details entry, secure booking confirmation & deposit/full payment collection - Automatic booking confirmations sent via email and SMS (using 3rd party services) Admin Backend Dashboard Secure login area for our team to manage: - All incoming & historical bookings - Pricing rules & base rates - Surge pricing settings - Vehicle types, details and availability - Customer records - API configuration (Google Maps, SMS service, payments etc.) Key Priorities - SEO is our #1 priority: the site must be built with search optimisation best practices, including support for multiple location-based service pages - Fast load speeds, reliable performance and high security - Clean, maintainable code built to scale as our business grows - User-friendly, intuitive interface for both customers and our admin team How We’ll Work We want to work closely with you throughout the build to make sure everything matches our needs. What We’re Looking For - Proven experience building production websites with Next.js and Node.js - Experience integrating Google Maps API, payment gateways and SMS/email services - Understanding of technical SEO best practices - Portfolio of similar booking, service or transport websites is a big plus - Good communication skills and ability to work to agreed timelines Please share examples of relevant work, your estimated timeline experience with a booking website of some sort is essential.
