# Node.js Middleware Developer — Cisco / TD SYNNEX API Integration (Long-Term) We're building a Node.js middleware layer that sits between the Cisco and TD SYNNEX APIs and our CRM (Zoho). **This is not a Zoho project** — no Zoho experience required. Cisco and TD change their APIs regularly, and every change currently forces edits to our CRM integrations. The middleware becomes the single place vendor-specific logic lives: it talks to the vendor APIs, transforms responses into our internal JSON contract, and shields everything downstream from vendor-side change. Future consumers (website, internal bots, other applications) will use the same endpoints. We're looking for a long-term technical partner, not a one-off build. ## Phase 1 scope Read endpoints only, powering our renewal and install-base reporting: - CCW Subscriptions (Cisco) - Install Base (Cisco) - End-of-Life / EoX (Cisco) - Related Cisco read flows Write endpoints — TD order creation, order status, quote creation, shipping, pricing — come after the read flows are stable. Assume the surface grows substantially over time. ## Technical requirements Node.js · REST · GitHub · automated testing · JSON Schema validation · CI/CD · Docker preferred. Open to alternatives with a compelling reason. **JSON contract.** We specify the internal contract; you implement and maintain it. It must be documented, versioned, and backward compatible where practical. When a vendor changes their API, the middleware adapts — the contract does not. **Automated tests** that fail loudly when vendor response structures change, required fields disappear, or mappings become invalid. We want breaking changes caught before production. **Documentation** sufficient for an unfamiliar engineer to take over with minimal knowledge transfer: architecture, deployment, configuration, auth, endpoints, contracts, testing, troubleshooting. ## Ownership We own the GitHub organization, repositories, hosting accounts, secrets, and deployment pipeline. Developers receive collaborator access. Development uses sandbox credentials only; production vendor credentials are not issued to contractors. ## Definition of done (Phase 1) - Read endpoints live and serving our reporting system - Contract tests passing in CI - Deployed to our hosting with health monitoring and alerting - Documentation complete enough for cold handoff ## To apply, please include 1.
